Digital communications executive Lottie Boreham, based in our Manchester office, is the expert keeping BOOST&Co exceptionally well-connected online.

What do you do at BOOST&Co?

My main responsibility is everything online. I cover all internal and external communications, from our website and social-media platforms to invitations and newsletters. It’s all about reaching as many people as possible, so that everyone knows about BOOST&Co.

What’s the key to a good social-media campaign?

Multimedia. It’s always good to have little texts, lots of imagery and videos – content that users can click on and engage with. A little bit of everything is what keeps people interested.

You’re keen to promote wellbeing at work, too.

I’m passionate about running mental-health campaigns and making sure that everybody knows how to access support. BOOST&Co has an extremely strong culture and I want to help to protect it as the company grows.

How did you end up working for BOOST&Co?

After university, I took up a role in marketing at the Bouygues Group. Working for a multi-billion, multi-national firm so early in my career was a positive experience, but because of its size, I wasn’t able to do everything I wanted to do. BOOST&Co is much more innovative, which is exciting.

What attracted you to the company?

It’s amazing to have a full-time art director [Eli Hyesung Han]; it means that we can be incredibly creative with our content, and it shows how differently we do things. Everyone who works here is passionate about BOOST&Co, which is the best recommendation you can get.

Which item can you not work without?

My water bottle. And I constantly need to be online, so I couldn’t live without my laptop or my phone. Some kind of wireless connection is essential.

How do you spend your leisure time?

I play for Brooklands Hockey Club, in Sale, and we’ve just been promoted; now we’re just one level below the national league. My trademark move is the floor-to-score, where you fling yourself into a shot so hard that you roll on the ground. But it only looks good if it actually goes in.

You’re also on a quest to find the perfect G&T.

There are some nice gin bars in Manchester, including Allotment and Atlas, and people buy me gin advent-calendars, so I end up spending the rest of the year trying to work through them. I really enjoy cooking, too, especially spicy food. My speciality is a curry with halloumi cheese.

What’s on your bucket list?

I’d like to kayak around the fjords in Norway, and I’d love to climb Kilimanjaro or Everest. I’d like to visit one of the huge ski resorts in the US, and I’d love to go to India, to take lessons in making the perfect curry.

You’re very well travelled…

I recently visited Vietnam and it felt like being in an Indiana Jones film; you’d walk through the jungle and ruins would pop out of nowhere. I’ve climbed a volcano in Guatemala, and I enjoyed driving up the East Coast of the US. The Uffizi Gallery in Florence is amazing, too.

Given £100m to spend or invest, what’s the first thing you would do?

I’d buy houses, because I like going away so much. I’d buy a ski chalet, somewhere in a European city and somewhere in Asia. Then I could go on holiday all year round.
