BOOST&Co has appointed Rebecca Blaymires as a principal based at its Birmingham office. Blaymires will be joining the firm’s growing South and Midlands team, with a focus on supporting the needs of SMEs across the Midlands.

The appointment follows a period of significant growth for BOOST&Co, with the firm tripling the size of its front office in 2021 in its commitment to offer funding support to more businesses across the UK. Blaymires is the second addition to the Birmingham team, following the appointment of Matt Vincent who established the Birmingham office in March 2021.

Blaymires will bring more than 12 years of financial services experience to the lender, having held previous roles at the Lloyd’s Banking Group and Wesleyan. This wealth of knowledge will enable Blaymires to work alongside innovative, growing firms in need of support and will be instrumental in providing tailored funding solutions.

Commenting on the appointment, Kim Martin, head of the South and Midlands says: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Becky to the already successful Midlands team and are pleased to attract experienced financiers like Becky to BOOST&Co.

“Becky’s extensive experience will be invaluable to the team and will enable us to expand our presence across the Midlands, supporting more SMEs and demonstrating our ongoing commitment to the region.

BOOST&Co’s expansion in the Midlands will enable the team to be on the ground, be visible and be far better placed to serve the needs of SMEs across the region.

“There are some fantastic businesses based in the area and they deserve a chance to thrive and grow, but to do this they need access to a choice of capital. This capital used to be provided from their high street bank, but increasingly firms need to turn to alternative sources of finance – that’s where Matt, Becky and BOOST&Co come in,” Martin adds.

“We have enjoyed huge success since Matt Vincent established our Birmingham base in 2021 and built a wide and supportive network to understand the cultural nuances within the city and region, meaning we are now well-placed to serve the needs of the area’s SMEs.”

Discussing her new role, Rebecca says: “I’m looking forward to starting a new venture with the BOOST&Co team and can’t wait to begin supporting the needs of growing SMEs across the Midlands and boosting the firm’s profile in the region. I’m glad to be part of such an authentic and innovative company, which places culture and personal growth in high regard and I’m sure I will learn a huge amount in this new role.”
