BOOST&Co has joined the roster of respected firms that belong to the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA).

The BVCA – the industry body and public policy advocate for private equity and venture capital in the UK – has a long history of supporting businesses that operate in this space. BOOST&Co’s objective is to help UK SMEs to grow, so joining the BVCA’s network of investors, fund managers, advisors and service providers was the logical next step for the rapidly growing lender.

Principal Lauren Couch, who leads BOOST&Co in the south west, says: “BOOST&Co is keen to form partnerships with other financial institutions and investors to provide funding and guidance to growing businesses. It is important that we work together to provide funding at all stages of business growth and collaborate to secure support for the UK economy. Becoming a member of the BVCA supports these intentions.”

BOOST&Co, which has offices in London, Manchester, Bristol, Cambridge and Cape Town, specialises in growth lending solutions of £2m to £10 for innovative UK SMEs. Its funds come from large pension funds and insurance companies.

The BVCA and its partner organisations seek to raise awareness of private equity and venture capital, simplifying access for businesses by delivering research, analysis, specialist training and best-practice standards.

The BVCA was founded in 1983, with the aim of being recognised by the UK government as the voice of authority for the private equity and venture capital industry. It now works with its 750-plus members to provide capital and expertise to growing businesses in the UK.
